Course description

CCNM is pleased to offer you Dr. Anderson’s new and improved NPLEX prep course. The clinical sciences reviews now include full access to comprehensive courseware + 20-30 new online video tutorial learning modules. This online series includes study strategies and is accessible to you 24-7 until the NPLEX exam.

This is the course offered at the other naturopathic colleges, with the bonus of allowing you to review the material at your convenience.

  The following topic areas will be focused on:
  • Clinical and physical diagnosis
  • Pharmacology
  • Laboratory diagnosis
  • Imaging and electrodiagnosis
  • Basic nutrition
  • Basic pharmacognosy
  • Emergency medicine/emergency obstetrics
  • Minor surgery concepts
  • Concepts in pediatric cases
  • Injection/IV therapy concepts
  • Nutrient and biochemical agents

(For example: as conditions in cardiology are discussed their clinical presentation, pharmacology basic nutrition, laboratory concepts etc. will be covered in the same unit. – just as you will encounter them in the cases on the Board exams.)

The feedback from students at the various naturopathic programs is that this format assists them greatly in forming a core of clinical concepts.

Paul Anderson - Instructor

Dr. Paul Anderson taught at National College of Naturopathic Medicine between 1994 and 2002, and between 2003 and 2005 he maintained a private practice in Arizona while being full time faculty at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. Between 1980 and 2006 he taught as adjunct or visiting professor at all U.S. naturopathic medical schools, as well as many other universities and colleges. Dr. Anderson has taught physical and clinical diagnosis, medical office procedures, advanced naturopathic therapeutics, pharmacology, clinical rotations, EENT, and is core faculty member in the naturopathic medicine program and provides clinical supervision at Bastyr Center for Natural Health.
