One of the most multi-cultural and diverse cities on the planet
One of the most multicultural and diverse cities on the planet, Toronto consistently tops global lists as being one of the best places in the world to live.
Toronto was ranked the best city for young people to live, ahead of New York, Chicago, Singapore and Hong Kong, by Citi (PDF). It is the fourth largest city in North America, the capital of Ontario, and the banking, communications, and cultural hub of the country.
Toronto’s designation as “The 6ix,” attributed to Drake, its most famous hip hop star, denotes the six municipalities that make up the Greater Toronto Area and has become a hashtag used by in-the-know youth. Toronto is also home to the Toronto Raptors (basketball), Toronto Blue Jays (baseball), Toronto Maple Leafs (hockey), Toronto FC (soccer), and Toronto Argonauts (football), delighting sports fans year-round.
