You are here

In our continuous efforts to build our faculty resources, CCNM is requesting resume submissions for part-time faculty in the following areas:

Immunology BAS115: This course is intended as an introductory course for health care provider candidates. This course summarizes the current understanding of immunology in conceptual terms and introduces the main players: the cells, tissues and molecules of the immune system. The course examines the molecular mechanisms used by the immune system to recognize foreign invaders and describes the process of activation of the immune system that results from this recognition. This course also describes the means by which the stimulated immune system eliminates foreign molecules, cells and organisms. Other clinical aspects of immunology, such as allergy, autoimmunity, and immunodeficiency will be treated as variations of this basic protective function in which the nature of the antigen is the major variable. Finally, students will learn how the human host’s interactions with their environment inform the development of innate and adaptive immune responses.

Hourly rate range starts at $72.46 and increases based upon education and experience. The successful candidate must be available to instruct from January 2018 to July 2018.

This course is scheduled weekly during the winter and spring terms: Winter term, Tuesdays 2 – 5 p.m.; Spring term, Wednesdays 3:30 – 6 p.m.

  • The ideal candidate will possess a Masters or PhD in the related discipline and/or will be a Board licensed healthcare professional with at least five years of clinical experience.
