CCNM is currently recruiting professional individuals for the position of Invigilator. This is a casual position and applicants must be available for shifts between the hours of 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Please note this is a physical position requiring the ability to lift and carry approximately 15 pounds, extended periods of standing, as well as climbing up and down steep stairs.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:
  • Distributing and collecting examination materials
  • Ensuring exam room is in order prior to the commencement of each exam and that students only bring to their desks materials required for the examination
  • Checking student identification cards
  • Announcing exam procedures and any special instructions before examination begins
  • Escorting students to and from washroom facilities when required
  • Monitoring all activities during the examination and ensuring academic integrity is adhered to
  • Taking appropriate disciplinary actions if student is in breach of examination rules
  • Ensuring exams are completed within the set time limits and advising students when 30 minutes left, 15 minutes left, five minutes left and when exam is officially closed
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong administration skills and attention to details
  • Highly organized with good time management skills
  • Flexibility to adjust work shifts when required
  • Must have good attendance and punctuality
  • Experience working with highly confidential and sensitive material
  • Experience working in a post-secondary setting would be a definite asset
