The Lab Testing Series is a new high-quality, evidence-informed webinar series designed to improve patient care by helping practitioners recognize clinical presentations, select appropriate tests, establish baselines, interpret lab tests, monitor treatment progress, explain test results, and further clinical hypotheses.

This Introductory Session by George Gillson, MD, founder and medical director of Rocky Mountain Analytical examines the background process of getting a lab report into your hands from start to finish, and covers the benefits of laboratory assessments for patient care.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review laboratory test method development through the lens of accreditation guidelines
  • Learn the phases of the laboratory cycle
  • Identify how reference ranges are established
  • Define the concepts of sensitivity and specificity
