Course description

Ancient cultures have always known that beauty comes from the inside out! Common sense tells us that treating the underlying cause of aging and imbalance is preferable to masking the symptoms. With this highly effective method of facial rejuvenation, one can simultaneously benefit a person's appearance and overall health.

Learning outcomes:

  • How to customize facial rejuvenation treatments utilizing an oriental medical approach
  • How to assess which meridians are involved in the aging process
  • Point selection and technique for conditions such as acne, dry skin, age spots, sagging skin, wrinkles, scars, double chins, as well as bags and dark circles under the eyes

Day 1 – Facial rejuvenation massage protocol and pain-less needle insertion
Day 2 – Full acupuncture demo and practice needling double-chin, sculpting points and scalp points
Day 3 – Full facial acupuncture protocol practice and certification*

*Please note that you will be expected to bring an outside volunteer or partner on Sunday from 3 - 5 p.m. who will receive a facial massage and acupuncture treatment from you. Certification is granted upon completion of a written and practical exam.

Participants must be a ND, TCM practitioner, or other health-care practitioner licensed to practice acupuncture. Students in their upper clinical years at CCNM or other recognized acupuncture programs with a minimum of 200 hours of clinical practice may also attend the course. Proof of license or enrolment in a recognized acupuncture program will be requested upon registration.
