Time: On-line Modules (24-hour access)
Instructor: Dr. Paul Anderson

In order to help you prepare for a successful NPLEX experience, CCNM is pleased to offer you our new and improved NPLEX Prep Course. Dr. Anderson’s Basic Science review now includes new on-line learning modules that will be accessible to those who register for the duration of the summer.
May 10, 2014 – August 2014 - Access to Basic Sciences Review on-line modules
Information based on learning content areas and seventeen years teaching and writing board exam questions will be given in the following basic medical science areas:
Anatomy
Physiology
Biochemistry
Pathology
Microbiology – Immunology
Based on the change by NABNE to an integrated case-based basic science examination these five topics will be integrated to the degree possible to enhance integrated learning. Some areas such as cellular physiology, portions of biochemistry, and portions of immunology will necessarily be taught separately as required.
The on-line learning modules will cover:
(Note: Anatomy includes pertinent embryology and histology)
Introductory cell physiology, general pathology and microbial physiology.
The neurological system; anatomy, physiology, pathology and biochemistry
The Cardiovascular system; hematopoesis, anatomy, physiology, pathology and biochemistry
The Pulmonary system; anatomy, physiology, pathology and biochemistry
The Musculo-skeletal system; anatomy, physiology, pathology and biochemistry
The Digestive system; anatomy, physiology, pathology and biochemistry
The Renal and Urinary system; anatomy, physiology, pathology and biochemistry
The Immune system / Microbiology; anatomy, physiology, pathology and biochemistry
The Endocrine system; anatomy, physiology, pathology and biochemistry
The Reproductive system; embryology, anatomy, physiology, pathology / biochemistry
These reviews follow the NPLEX / NABNE outline and format for the current year.
They are intended to form a core of information from which the student can focus their study for the Basic Science NPLEX board exams. They of course are not intended to replace personal preparation but rather give overviews to the topic areas and point out common areas where board questions arise.
