Summary |
The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) is Canada's
premier institute for education and research in naturopathic
medicine. CCNM is also home to the Robert Schad Naturopathic
Clinic, a dynamic teaching institution where senior clinicians
and ND supervisors conduct more than 25,000 patient visits per
year. The 4.3-acre campus is located at Sheppard Avenue East and
Leslie Street, in North York.
In our continuous efforts to build our faculty resources, CCNM
is currently recruiting for enthusiastic, outgoing professional
individuals for the positions of Teaching Assistants and
Faculty, Traditional Chinese Medicine. |

Qualifications |
Formal Education:
- Candidates must have experience in all areas of TCM
especially cupping, moxabustion, non-tube needle insertion,
scalp acupuncture and ear acupuncture
- At minimum, candidates must have attained a diploma in
acupuncture from a recognized and accredited post secondary
institution, or be a licensed, practicing Naturopathic Doctor.
- Training in teaching methodology, measurement and
evaluation is desirable
Experience:
- Established research publication record is desirable
- Clinical experience will be considered an asset
- Past teaching experience will also be considered an asset
Skills:
- Excellent written, oral and presentation/communication
skills
- Positive demonstrated commitment to student success

Summary |
The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM),
established in 1978, offers Canada’s only accredited four-year,
full-time professional program in naturopathic medicine. The
4.3-acre campus is located at Sheppard Avenue East and Leslie
Street, in North York.
We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic, outgoing
professional individuals for the positions of Teaching
Assistants. While specific duties for the position of Teaching
Assistant may vary with each course, typically they may include
advance preparation, leading weekly small-group practical
sessions, demonstrating relevant techniques and methods to
student groups, evaluating student performance of relevant
techniques and methods, and offering guidance and mentoring to
students. |

Qualifications |
Formal Education:
- The ideal candidate will possess a related graduate
degree or diploma from an accredited health care program
and/or will be a Board licensed ND, or MD
- Training in teaching methodology, measurement and
evaluation is desirable
Experience:

OTHER
In addition to the above, TA’s for Traditional Chinese
Medicine (TCM) Assistants are also required to have the
following:
- Candidates must have experience in all areas of TCM
especially: cupping, moxabustion, non-tube needle insertion,
scalp acupuncture and ear acupuncture
- At minimum, candidates must have attained a diploma in
acupuncture from a recognized and accredited post secondary
institution, or be a licensed, practicing Naturopathic
Doctor.
- Candidates will be asked to perform basic acupuncture
techniques as part of the selection process
