Graduation Awards
The following is a list of bursaries, scholarships and awards currently available to CCNM students for the 2011/2012 academic year.

Entrance Awards
First Nations Award - Sponsored by the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine
CCNM and Baagwating Community Association jointly sponsor a bursary for students who are Canadian status Indian, Inuit or member of a recognized First Nations band, including Métis. $10,000 per year for four consecutive years if one student is awarded the scholarship or $5,000 per year for four consecutive years if two students are awarded the scholarship.
Application Form 
Application deadline for September 2012 intake is August 3, 2012. Application deadline for January 2013 intake is December 7, 2012.

Entrance Bursaries
A number of $1,000 entrance bursaries are available to new students. Candidates must be registered as a new student with a minimum 60 per cent course load in year one of the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program; must demonstrate financial need by qualifying for government financial aid and must submit one paragraph outlining why they feel they are a good candidate for an entrance bursary and how this bursary will assist them. Winners from the January class will be notified in December. The funds will be applied directly towards the student account. The number of awards available is dependent on the amount of money collected from donors.

Bursaries
    A number of $1,000 bursaries are available to returning students (Years 2 - 4). Eligible applicants must be registered as full-time students (minimum 60 per cent course load) in year two, three or four for the 2011/2012 academic year, demonstrate financial need by qualifying for government student loans and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. The number of awards available is dependent on the amount of money collected from donors.
Body and Mind Bursary - Sponsored by Body and Mind
This award of $5000, renewed annually, is provided to a student with outstanding academic achievement, but lacks the financial means to attend CCNM. This bursary is not available for new applications in the academic year 2011-2012. 
Year 1 Bursaries
  Dr. Gregory Wayne Prytula, ND, Memorial Bursary - Sponsored by NaturoMedic.org and Dr. Michael Prytula, ND
$400 to be awarded to the first year student who best demonstrates what they gave up to join the naturopathic profession. Eligible applicants must show financial need as demonstrated by government loan(s) or employment record(s) indicating employment for at least 40 hrs per week on available summers or 10 hrs per week during the school year. 
Year 2 Bursaries
    NaturoMedic.org Bursary - Sponsored by Dr. Michael Prytula, ND
$500 to be awarded to the second year student who best describes how they successfully balance volunteer work, employment and student life. Eligible applicants must show financial need as demonstrated by government loan(s) or employment record(s) indicating employment for at least 40 hrs per week on available summers or 10 hrs per week during the school year. 
Year 3 Bursaries
    Fred Loffler Bursary - Sponsored by Dr. Fred Loffler, ND
$500 to be awarded to the third year student who best demonstrates an interest in maintaining a spiritual connection to the naturopathic profession. Eligible applicants must demonstrate financial need by qualifying for government student loans. This award is presented in recognition of Dr. Stanford Kingsley Claunch and Inventor William B. Gruber.
    Dr. Richard D. McCrorie, DC, ND, Bursary - Sponsored by Roger and Mary McCrorie and Lisa McCrorie-Hogan
$2,000 to be awarded to the third year student who best describes how they will adopt the ideal characteristics of a naturopathic doctor in their future practice. Eligible applicants must demonstrate financial need by qualifying for government student loans.
    NaturoMedic.org Bursary - Sponsored by Dr. Michael Prytula, ND
$600 to be awarded to the third year student who has most successfully mastered the language of the naturopathic modalities. Eligible applicants must show financial need as demonstrated by government loan(s) or employment record(s) indicating employment for at least 40 hrs per week on available summers or 10 hrs per week during the school year. 
Year 4 Bursaries
    NaturoMedic.org Bursary - Sponsored by Dr. Michael Prytula, ND
$800 awarded to the fourth-year student who best describes how they have educated themselves in therapies beyond the required courses at CCNM that will help to expand their clinical practice. Eligible applicants must show financial need as demonstrated by government loan(s) or employment record(s) indicating employment for at least 40 hrs per week on available summers or 10 hrs per week during the school year.

David Warkentin Memorial Award - Sponsored by Kent Homeopathic Associates Inc.
Macrepertory software ($3,800 value) awarded to the graduating student who demonstrates excellence in homeopathic medicine.
Governors' Award of Excellence - Sponsored by the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine
$1,000 awarded to the graduating student who has demonstrated outstanding academic performance in the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program.
Humanitarian Award - Sponsored by the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine
$1,000 awarded to the graduating student who has best exemplified dedication to the betterment and service of humanity, as demonstrated through words and deeds that reflect the principles of naturopathic medicine and that produce meaningful change in the lives of others.
Joyce Vanderburgh Scholarship - Sponsored by the Estate of Joyce Vanderburg
Annual interest earned on the principal of the Estate of Joyce Vanderburgh is awarded to the graduating female student who best demonstrates outstanding clinic performance and patient interaction.
Leadership Award - Sponsored by the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine
$1,000 awarded to the graduating student who has best exemplified outstanding leadership within the CCNM community.
NSA Community Spirit Award - Sponsored by the Naturopathic Students' Association
$500 awarded to the graduate who has best exemplified the spirit of giving through charitable work within the CCNM community or the community at large as a representative of the College.
NSA Naturopathic Honour Award - Sponsored by the Naturopathic Students' Association
$500 awarded to the graduate who exhibits outstanding leadership, volunteer service, contribution and/or special achievement in programming extra-curricular activities.
The GoNaturalCanada.com Inspiration Award – Sponsored by GoNatural Health and Nutrition Centre Inc.
$1,000 awarded to the graduating student who best exemplifies the following characteristics as selected by his or her peers: Authenticity, reliability, optimism, self-awareness, drive, purpose, inclusion, focus on others, respect, and the ability to foster leadership in others.
