Phlebotomy Module Coordinator – NPS315 In Office Procedures I (Contract)

CCNM is currently seeking a Phlebotomy Module Coordinator for a contract position which would play a major component of the third year In Office Procedures I course (NPS315). This course is designed to prepare naturopathic doctor candidates to perform in-office medical procedures that are regularly performed by interns during their clinical internship at the RSNC. The emphasis is on safety, best practices, dealing with emergencies, and proper technique in out-patient settings. Students develop competency in the safe handling, and collection of specimens commonly required for laboratory evaluation (i.e., blood, skin, throat, and urine). Responsibilities include training and coordinating a team of teaching assistants to ensure that students develop knowledge, skills and behaviors necessary to achieve competence and comfort with routine phlebotomy practices.

Please Note: This position may not be available should it be required for an employee in the union group.


  • Candidate must be qualified to perform controlled act of phlebotomy (e.g., ND, MLT, RN)
  • Current registration to practice in the province of Ontario
  • Experience teaching practical sessions and/or leading small group workshops
  • Proven organizational and time management skills with ability to direct concurrent activities
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills to deal with a wide variety of instructor and student needs
  • Ability to motivate and engage students
