CCNM's Research Department is committed to creating an environment in which research thrives.

The department aims to:

  • cultivate research initiatives within the CCNM community, including students and faculty, through teaching, experiential learning and mentorship.

  • conduct high quality research on naturopathic and public health issues through collaboration with leading researchers on an international scale.

  • bring research methodologies to application in naturopathic medicine and to apply evaluation to issues of profile in the health fields.

The current research potential at the college far surpasses previous accomplishments.
The number of publications in major peer-reviewed journals is increasing the profile of the college and the students. The original research developed at the college is gaining attention from major institutes and thus, collaborations with major research institutes are occurring rapidly.

The department aims to continue publishing at a vigorous rate as well as increasing the profile of the college through higher quality journals and news releases. The department aims to apply for major funding grants to create a tracking database for our college clinic patients.

The department will continue to build a research infrastructure through teaching of students and faculty
and will offer post-graduate programs in advanced research methodologies.
To facilitate continued collaboration between researchers and institutes, the department is choosing
high-profile issues of interest to both the naturopathic and public health communities.
